Take That - Pray (Live from Wembley)

  • Take That release new single Pray.
    • Pray would become the first of twelve singles by the band to reach N1 on the UK Singles Chart, staying at the top for four weeks, and starting a run of four consecutive number ones. It also went on to win British Single of the Year and British Video of the Year at the 1994 Brit Awards
  • U2 release eighth studio album Zooropa, a continuation of the groups experimental period with electronic music and alternative rock which began with 1991's Achtung Baby. The new album went to no.1 in several countries, including the UK (straight in) and the USA, although its success was shorter lived thn its predecessor and it failed to produce any hit singles. 
  • Björk releases debut album, appropriatly entitled Debut. The album entered the charts at no.3 (behind U2) ans spawned five Top 40 singles.[1]
