- FA Cup final played at Wembley between the holders Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers.
- The match ended 1-1 with goals coming from both sides in extra time: Glenn Hoddle for Spurs at 110' and Terrence fenwick for QPR at 115'. The replay took place on 27 May.
- Tottenham's Argentinian player Ricky Villa decided not to play in the final because of the ongoing Falklands War.
