  • Long-running TV series Doctor Who returns to BBC One after going off the air in December 1989. Announced in September 2003[1], The highly anticipated return was previewed by a special programme A New Dimension earlier in the day and supplemented by the first part of the brand new Doctor Who Confidential series. The role of The Doctor was played by Christopher Eccleston.
