Eurythmics was the name of a musical duo formed by musician Dave Stewart and vocalist Annie Lennox. The two go ttogether in 1980 after their previous band The Tourists had split up.

The duo's first album In The Garden, produced by Krautrock maestro Conny Plank, met with critical acclaim although failed to enjoy any significant commercial success. The duo broke through with their next release, the much more synth-pop based Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This (1982) featuring the hit single of the same name. They later took a more rock-centred musical approach on subsequent albums, before splitting up in 1990.
